The Dinosaur Culture in Zigong


Sichuan Zigong world geological park is located in the south of Sichuan province.It is the second world geological park in Sichuan province and China's first world geological park named after the city name.Sichuan zigong geopark consists of Dashanpu dinosaur fossil relics park and Qinglongshan dinosaur fossil relics park,with a total area of 56.6 square kilometers.


Sichuan Zigong is China's important original place of dinosaur fossils. Zigong Dinosaur Museum is the first professional dinosaur museum in China and one of the world's three largest dinosaur relics museum.It has the largest collection and displaying of Jurassic dinosaur fossils in the world so far,and been evaluated “the best dinosaur museum in the world " by the America global geographic.
